Once you try making your own burgers you and your family will never go back to the frozen varieties.

 

Frozen burgers are over-salted, pumped up with non-meat fillers, water and additives like flavour-boosting chemicals that are hazardous to our health and especially to our children’s health. Easy homemade burgers provide our children with quality ingredients and taste delicious!

Healthy Kid Friendly Recipes #2 – Hamburgers

Ingredients

  • 1 package ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup spelt crumbs (Sha Sha brand)
  • 1 tsp. mustard
  • 1 onion chopped finely
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ½ cup black beans mashed
  • 2 tbsp. organic ketchup or BBQ sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl and form into patties.
  2. BBQ, bake or sauté on the stovetop.
