Berry Kefir Smoothie

Anyone that knows me knows that I am a massive fan of smoothies. They are delicious and such an easy way to pack in the nutrition. Many kids are picky with breakfasts.

Smoothies offer an excellent opportunity to fill them up with lots of vitamins and nutrients, healthy fat and protein, and they won’t even know it! They’ll just know they are drinking something delicious! Healthy breakfast for kids coming right up!

We’ve already discussed the benefits of banana and nut or seed butter, but let’s look at some of these additional ingredients as well.

The berries add lots of antioxidants and fiber – and can help support our immune systems.

Kefir is an excellent fermented food that is great for our gut health. It is filled with probiotics that will help foster a healthy gut microbiome. With 70% of our immune system in our gut, this also makes it great to support our immune systems.

Flaxseeds have good essential fats in them but also are an excellent source of fiber.
If you want to make this a breakfast smoothie, I would recommend adding in some protein, and you would be satiated until lunch!

Blend and Enjoy!
