Your baby is six months old already! Half a year old! Incredible!
As a pediatrician and mom of four young kids, many parents ask me if their baby is developing normally.
Your baby will most likely have reached the developmental milestones for babies listed here at six months of age. Remember, your baby is unique, and each baby progresses through the milestones in their own way. Please do not hesitate to discuss any concerns with your health care provider.

Most newborn babies will reach the milestones for baby development listed here. This represents the average milestones for babies by month 6.
Some babies will reach the milestones near the beginning of the month, and others closer to 7 or 8 months. For example, your baby may quickly master language skills, while others will be more proficient in motor skills.
Every baby is unique, and each baby progresses through development in their own way. Please do not hesitate to discuss any concerns with your health care provider.
My advice to new parents is to take the time to learn, enjoy the time with your baby and have fun!
