All Games For Kids And You To Enjoy Together – Activities For Kids At Home – Part 2

Here are some additional activities for kids at home that are budget friendly and lots of fun for children. These are all games for kids and you to enjoy together!

Car Tracks

What you need:

  • Shaving Cream
  • Small cars
  • Tray or Tupperware container

Instructions:

  • Place shaving cream on a try and have your child drive their cars through it
  • It is hours of fun having a car wash, hiding the cars etc.
  • You can also make car tracks with construction paper and Tempra paint
  • Have your child drive the cars over the pain on the paper and make a picture.

This will teach, colors, sensory awareness, and imagination.

Soda Bottle Flowers – Simple crafts for kids

What you need:

  • Tempra Paint
  • Paper
  • Water bottle

 

Instructions:

  • Have your child dip the bottom of a water bottle in paint
  • Stamp it on paper
  • This will make a flower or whatever your child imagines it looks like

This will teach self expression, spatial awareness and creativity.

Mirror Mobile

What you need:

  • Save or purchase foil pie plates or dishes
  • Tissue paper
  • School Glue

Instructions:

  • Paint the glue on the inside of the foil plate
  • Stick the tissue paper to it
  • You can use different sizes
  • Once it has dried attach a string to them and place it outdoors or in a room.

This will teach colors, fine motor skills, and language development.

Coffee Filter Art

What you need:

  • Coffee Filters (dollar store)
  • Markers
  • Spray bottle or eye dropper

Instructions:

  • Have the children color the coffee filter
  • Once your child is finished coloring have them drop water or spray water onto the filter (use a plate or try underneath so your table does not get wet).
  • Watch what happens.
  • Once the filter has dried you can attach a pipe cleaner to the end of it and they make flowers.

This will teach chromatography, absorption, solubility and descriptive language.

Basic Bubbles Recipe – Outside games for kids

What you need:

  • 6 Cups of water
  • 2 Cups of Dawn dish soap
  • 2 YBSP of Glycerin (most drug stores carry)

Instructions:

  • Mix it together and have fun with bubble wanted

This will teach chemical reaction, air/wind and problem solving.
